    Hello all,
I'm new to the Honda game and do t have much knowledge on these but I've recently purchased an 05 FR-V 1.7 SE as the family runaround. I'm all for doing my own servicing and was wondering if anyone had links to a Haynes type workshop manual as I can't seem to see one online anywhere.
    Any help appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Joe

You’ll struggle with that one. The FR-V was a rare car and more so with the 1.7 as they weren’t available for long and weren’t a popular choice by new owners.

    Online resources only I’d imagine.

It'll be a D17 engine, not sure which exact one. Possibly D17A.

I am doing my own servicing and repairs, and have the same issue, no service manuals or such things. I am having to find out and tinker as I go. But things like brakes and general servicing is generic so shouldn't be a problem. As for more complex stuff as I do you need to look at the individual part and then put it to your car (trial and error basically). Good luck..

Thanks for the help all, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually. If I do ever get any luck I'll be sure to post on here offering screen grabs for certain tasks

Although Haynes never published a full workshop manual for the FR-V, they do cover some routine servicing bits on their website.

It's only the basics, but the step by step photos helped me.

That covers the majority of the jobs I would be looking to complete myself.
    Thank you!
