This Guy known as Morf on Civic life sells these kits for £300!

Once mine was delivered and opened, I was in for a shock!!!!!

After trying to fit this kit I gave up as you can see its all twisted, shocking welds poor workmanship and just a load of crap!

I contacted Morf by phone to say I was not happy with the kit and his reply was 'sorry mate don't do refund' in other words didn't care.

He told me he made the kits on a h22 engine with a b16 y21 box and he said he's 100% correct that it fits.........that's funny because this one don't!
And that why he won't give me my refund!

So what you will see below is evidence on why it don't fit and what your £300 will bye you!
All joking aside but this is a very serious saftey issue! I would DEF not have this kit on my car! I feel sorry for the people who do.

As you can see all been cut with a cutting disc

Wrong hole been drilled and re-welded, comes with professional paint job! NOT!

Lovely cut edges with good welding!

Now this is my best picture, this is the mount that holds the full weight of your gear box, hair line crack and re ground to much

Now this is why it don't fit, twisted, this is ment to fit flush with your engine and gear box?........

    Big gaps

    Mexican wave people.......!

    Holy crap that's terrible!!!!

I'm a fabricator/welder by trade, and I can see clearly from those pictures that is extremely poor workmanship. Not only are the parts completely misaligned, the cuts are shocking, as is the welding and the grinding... In-fact everything about it!!
Morph you should be ashamed, how can you even have the cheek to offer such a crap product? And more so put peoples live's in danger, if one of those 'conversion' mounts broke at high speed on the track the result would not be pretty

Lol you don't know wtf your talking about . Waiting for somr more people just just on this and say omg. The shield has nothing to do with how strong it is its just a cover. I got a phone call some kid screaming at me saying this thing is shit bla bla bla I want a refund now or im taking you to court . Wtf . All he was banging on about a qsd kit so I just thought he wanted his money back to buy a qsd kit. The said there not cnced parts . Its not a bling bling 800qid kit from some big company. Yes I do make them in my garage yes a do cut all the parts .if the parts are twisted then the only thing I can think of is this guy twisted them or they were done when welding. But im sorry if some one rings me making threats then there going to get a fuck off pill. Carry on with the hating its funny

I will agree that the welds are a bit sub par, i certainly woulndt be happy with them.

Other than that the cracked part you have is where 2 pieces have been welded together and smoothed on the oposing side so not a crack as such.

And not being straight shouldnt be much or an issue as it should straighten when fitted surely?

At the end of the day you bought a cheap how made kit if you wanted a name branded super clean kit you should have payed for one.

This is an easy one. Money back from Morf without any questioning due to not meeting the requirements and been deemed sub-standard to what you expected. If that fails, call trading standards explain the situation, they'll tell you to write a letter(they'll tell you what to put in the letter word for word) send it recorded await an irrate phone call If he emails you ignore it, all communication should be done through pen and paper for records if it were to go as far as court.

I will agree that morfs kits are ridiculously cheap compared to any other put there. In essence it's like buying a market stool jumper and complaining that the stitches aren't as good as your Armani jumper

You blatently can't fabricate, so don't try and sell shit to make money, leave it to people who actually know what they are doing. Your work is terrible, and I can see that even from the photo's end of!

The guy has every right to ask for his money back.

    That is shocking.

morf your welding is shocking! I've seen 10 year olds weld better then that. were u drunk whilst welding as none of its straight? reminds me of bird shit tbh :/. yeah may be cheap but id still expect a half decent product. this isnt even half decent its just very very poor workmanship.

    how is £300 cheap?

some people don't even earn that in a week!

surely if you have to "straigten" it by tightening it up something isnt right? would that not put extra stress on the shocking welds?
  15. JapLuvA Club Member ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

Cheap version or not that is shocking, welding looks like it was done by a child!
  16. RandomDan Club Veteran ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I don't earn £300 a week but that does stop the name branded kits being 3 times the cost.

This is steel we are talking about here not jacobs crackers.

When i was welding the good test was to give it a bit of a bash, if it breaks it shit if not jobs a goodun.

I used to work at Del tail lifts if you wanted to know.

I will still add that the welds do look shocking in some places but iv seen much worse but 95% of it is still flowed in.

    PayPal dispute raised.

All I wanted was a refund and I was happy to resend the kit and I covered the cost. But no, he said I don't care if I post on civiclife as I've got a good reputation and people wouldn't listen,?

All I want is my money back and il delete the threads!

I'm happy to cancel the above if I get my refund ASAP via PayPal.

My dads a manager there, small world!

The term 'cheap' is all relative in terms of modifying cars, you have to expect a slight difference in quality when you pay less (like the difference between rotas and volks) but you expect a certain level of quality with any product. It should at the very least be safe!

Good luck with getting a refund buddy.

Oh dear is all i can say..... i have just shown my engineer friend and he laughed at the quality
  20. spennyd Top Contributor ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

how is it "cheap" as you say then? we are not talking about other kits here are we? we are talking about a "kit" that costs £300 which is shocking quality...

jacobs crackers would probably work better than this! the workmanship is terrible, the cuts are terrible, the welds are terrible, the "wrong hole" drilled is terrible....

do i still need to go on?

yes its a homemade kit.... but if the quality is like this how can you sell it for £300? the materials must have cost £30 max?
