    Hey guys

Just wondered where you guys buy your valeting prodcuts from?

I have an opportunity to fund a project for a friend and want to gather some more information on the subject

And if i was able to become a trader of here where i could supply not only requested products but also info, advice and services would that be something you would HONESTLY be interested in?

Obviously there would be discounts for forum users, and group buys etc and the prices would be competitive with all current retailers

I'd be interested in buying the 5 litre tubs of decent car shampoo... I don't use anything else really...

Usually from there, depending on what i need

So if i was to start this business would you be likely to bring your trade to me as i would be on here live 15 hours a day to send out things whenever you needed them?
  5. Andy Club Veteran ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

If you had good prices, 100% yes

    I use CYC too.

The prices would be incredibly competitive, but with the benefit of me personally dealing with each enquiry and giving free advice

Plus if you came to collect, i would be able to help with practical demonstrations aswell

Sounds good to me dude, great help for anyone local to you as well.

Be good to have someone on here we can go to for advice and info on what products to use 8)

practical demostration? can you wash my car!? hehe

on a serious note, i totally know where you are goming from. Im in the early stages of my own business and it hard graft. I like to think that having that personal touch makes the difference. I know that some people appreachiate it lots, and i have generated sales and recomendations from it. SO i suppose, yes i would consider buying bits. But personally i think that you are better off doing more specialised stuff. at 3 for 2 i can go to halfords and get the basic autoglym stuff and clean my car well and to a good standard. What i can't get from there is snow foam, souns drying towles, dodo juice top waxes etc. I was going to get into the detailing business as its a bit of an obsession, but dicovered something else car realted that i love and am working with that! Incidently im hoping to be a trader here at some point too!

I normally purchase from my friend Alex Creasey who owns Serious Performance..

I also buy a fair amount from Polished Bliss and Clean Your Car.

For my Zaino Products; I normally buy from Zaino Europe and for Zymol goodies, it is Monza Car Care for me..

I'd buy more from CarWashnWax if I could as they have some great products but their website is very weird to buy from..

Jono, I think for this forum, what would be a great idea certainly ahead of Christmas is Winter Kits, so something that will include a cleaner, durable synthetic sealant and some microfibre towels and applicators. I think also, you should sell plush drying towels, quick detailers and some good quality shampoos..

Hope that helps and of course, best of luck!

    Thanks mate

Means a lot more coming from you!!

Well I've had a pretty positive response from a few sources so far so seems like it could be a worthwhile investment

    CleanYourCar for me too.

They have expanded their range of products since I've been using them and are a family run business that do add that personal touch to their service as well as providing a fast reliable service whenever I've used them.

They are very good in responding to my emails too.

For you Jono I would say the U.S.P. would be the online advice/guides/tips. But ultimately its usually the price of where they can get a product from.

i imagine that the majority of ppl who buy the basic cleaning stuff will go to halfords when its 3 for 2? that's what i tend to do anyway.

^ exactly why Jono being a trader would be awesome!

Meg's/Glym ain't always the best/most appropriate products to use. There's loads more choice on CYC and on here if this happens

Halfords' range is very limited in my personal opinion and you can get far superior products for very good prices from dedicated car detailing websites.. Although, having said that, the 3 for 2 deals represent value for money..

i work for halfords and i use the majority of the cleaning products, and they seem to do the job but if jono can advise me in something better that will clean my car really really well, welll il be intrested
