Might I add that had I known the facelift's rear seats weren't magic like those in the Jazz, I would have faced down the wife and bought a Civic Tourer?

@AccordCU2 , decide exactly which grade, colour, power unit etc that you want. It's out there. In fact, there are probably several!
Let a few dealerships know you're after one, 'If the price is right' and then sit back and wait.

So far no luck lol, maybe I should up the budget but I can't do that.
Oh Nels by the way tagging and editing does not work for me for some reason.

That's a fair summary, although I feel most people wouldn't agree that the 'Connect' system is better than the previous version. One online review calls it the worst infotainment in any car right now. Based on my experience, I certainly found it a nightmare to use.

Ride quality is also improved on the facelift version, there was a thread somewhere as it had some revisions.

Personally I don't like the wheel design on the facelift EX either, but the front grille treatment is far nicer.

Makes little difference to me. I'll be keeping my pre-facelift for a few years yet...

Don't take this the wrong way Zoran, but you said earlier in the thread that you hadn't driven an automatic for a few years. Based on my own car, which is the same, one explanation for your perception may be your lack of experience in driving an auto. If you weren't holding your foot down on the accelerator or using kickdown properly, you may have had an issue. Alternatively, there may have been a problem with the car. That's the only explanation I can give for finding it 'gutless' as it certainly isn't how I'd describe it. Mine is actually quite quick.

If you get the aero front bumper I think the pre facelift looks decent enough. Even with just the upgraded grill I think it looks nice. Though I did prefer the ride of the face lift. It wasn't £16500 better so I'm happy with mine. Especially as I haven't seen many aero bumpers, it's rare compared to the newer CR-V which there are loads of.

I just got some 2.4m loft boards in the beast and they went in no problem even with a kid's buggy and a 12" sub! Being an auto I could steady the boards whilst still driving. The CR-V is a great car!

Adding to what FirstHonda said above: Driven it today, my wife's prefacelift CR-V, when you fully depress the pedal i-VTEC gets engaged and is quick enough and acceleration is reasonable and descent. Not sure if there is an acceleration pedal adjustment for this but it makes a big difference when fully depressed. The 5 speed auto gearbox is really smooth.

Well thanks to all that contributed good or bad lol.
Deed is done and I will be joining you CR-V crew from Thursday when I pick up my new to me CR-V SR Navi.

Just hope it will be as good and as reliable as my old trusted Accord has been.

    It's black and petrol.
No extras at all but I do plan to install running boards but that will be it really.

    Great stuff!

BTW, I have a spare front grille somewhere - you can have it and try to colour code it as a DIY project if you don't fancy shelling out on a sports grille?

I'll try and unearth it at the weekend and drop you an email

Look great. Reminds me of mine but much better without the silly sidesteps, 19" Orions and rear spoiler that looked like it was plonked on as an afterthought!

One thing I did fit on mine was side strips. Apart from being useful they also overcame the tendency for 4th Gens to look a bit "slab sided". Another bonus with the black colour is that you don't need to buy painted side strips, they pretty well match the wheel surrounds and other plastic trim, in their unpainted state.

Anyway - it looks great whatever you do (or don't do).
