    Quick Question

What air filter should i use for a b18c4 in a EK ?

Would it just be a EK4 one ?

    Cheers for any help !

Have you got a full B18 in... Im sure the B-series stuff is interchangeable so just order one for the EK4..

If im wrong im sure someone will correct me

yeah the engines in but got no filter

i looks like it sits in a different postion than a b16

I've got my b16 head still and a B18 bottom... The 18's a taller block so it will do...

Im still guessing you'd order a EK4 one tho coz those parts are suppose to be interchangeable..

Wait till another member comes along tho to clarify this, lol

If it's a panel filter you're after and someone confirms b16 and b18c4 filters are interchangable, I have a K&N Panel filter in good clean condition.. PM Me if you're interested

Which air box are you using, i'm fairly certain the B16 and B18C4 filters are different sizes, you could check this by going to a website like motor sport world, search by car, search for a K&N panel filter for a 1.6 and 1.8 VTI and see if the part numbers are different

Panel filters maybe but actual systems then they shud be the same :?

Yes i'm assuming panel filters, OP needs to be more specific any EK4 will physically fit the chasis though

    Sorry for not being clearer

I have nothing ! No filter or piping

    just the TB lol

So would i just use a EK4 air box ?

Will the Teg one fit ?

A teg one will fit although you will need to modify it slightly were it bolts on

just the answer i was looking for

Modifing it makes it fun

Do yous think this would be better that a induction kit ?

don't really have the cash to splash out on a decent one just now

    So i was thinking this with a K&N ?

Yea it would be way better than a whale penis etc.. Just take the resonator out and make your own cold air feed

I had a whale penis on my d16

    it was a b16 one

wish i never sold it

Only did because i was planning on going h2b

But yeah it sounded goooood !!

Only problem was it didnt really fit with my master cylinder brace

    I have seen a few b16 AEM v1 & v2 for sale

Would one of these be better ?

For money wise i would go for the modified teg airbox no doubt but thats just my opinion. But I would make sure to get it at a breakers yard would be alot cheaper
