    im going to go and have a look at a 'H' plate CR-X 1.6i 16v tomorrow with 80k on the clock.


    what kinda thing should i be lookin out for on it so i don't end up buying a dog.

    look out for RUST arches sills the whole shebang look under the boot carpet and under the spare wheel then get the engine warm and let it cool again and make sure the oil in the cap isnt milky also check the body panels for filler if you do recognise something resembling filler walk away

    Leaking sunroofs can be a problem, and the aerial can sometimes let water in. HTH. As said above check usual things like oil filler cap for white gunk (poss head gasket failure), make sure the car doesn't pull when driving it under load or braking, make sure everything works as it should. Get the car up to temp and make sure the cooling fan cuts in and out and the temp needle stays where it should.
