Took the car round the block because it needed starting and running for a bit, revs clock decided to go ape shit on me and jump around. Then it went fine, accelerate up a hill and revs went funny and the cars just fucking died.

Result was me stranded on the side of the road in a freezing car waiting for my dad to finish work for a tow

    i can't feel my toes

AA saved me about 6 times when i did my mini-me conversion.

i can't say how many faults that had, thats why i ditched it and just plonked in a d15b

engine conversions are stress and hassle if you do them yourself, and when they don't work you have the worst feeling of regret!

but once its all done, you think , maaaah it wasnt that bad.

If its a B16 then it sounds like the igniter in the dizzy has gone, sometimes the rev counter goes ape for ages, other times it does it a couple of times then dies.
