Hi all, My rear door mounted spare wheel fouls my m/cycle trailer so I wish to get a spacesaver, .my wheels are 16 inch, will using 17 inch wheel create any issues with the drivetrain? ie, different no. of revs. per mile due to different dia.Honda Cambridge spun me a yarn about differing revs.per mile ruining my differential.I think this is balony, please reasure me.Thank you.

They're not wrong, if the circumference of the wheel on one side of the diff is different to the one on the other side, it'll probably overheat the differential, but the rate at which it's turning being different is whole point of a differential...

It's certainly not something I'd recommend.
