Rocker cover bolt... bottom left one... Will not screw in, I only noticed it today when topping up the oil, thread on the bolt is fine, but it won't screw in??

is this a problem? or is it still fine to run..?

Probly pulled the threads out when it's been over tightened at some point. It might leak oil and obviously the rocker cover won't be pulled down as tight as it should but won't damage anything

one of mine on my old EG had snapped and the previous owner had just slid it back in there so one day after a spirited drive on a private road it blew oil all over the inside of my bonnet so take it chill honda do sell the stuff i think youll be looking at about 5-8 quid for it :/

cheers guys, the thread on the actuaal bolt is fine, just won't screw in, so im guessing that the thread on the cover is rounded... il find someone to re tap it lol

Yeh the bolt will be high-tensile steel, so stronger than the head itself, hence its thread remaining. As its just the rocker cover it shouldn't cause you too much grief maybe some oil may find its way out if its getting real hot. But not a difficult fix anyway! just a slightly larger thread tapped in and it'll be fine. Just get someone who knows what there doing as the last thing you want is a bigger hole there!
