Hi guys i recently got pulled for my number plate by "T5" they fined me
another fine for not having your number plate displayed on the bumper your not allowed to have it in the window. further more i thought it was a

funny them alfas etc with side mounted plates ....
it has to be cleary displayed at the front of the vehicle not behind and glass etc, have proper reflective properties correct size font blah blah blah
kit car or similar sticker numberplates can be mounted onto bottom of the window or bonnet etc and be fully legal if thats something perminant you want to do.
again, grey area if its somewhere extremely slanted or awkward

I've seen it fitted to the nearside sunvisor b4 and he got away with it

are import plates illegal then??
Its up to the copper I think, I have never had one even mention it when I get stopped. You have to make sure you arent pushing your luck with import plates if you don't want trouble. You need the correct import size plate, correct style and size font, correct letter spacing, needs to be in the ceter of the bumper at the front, etc. It helps if your plates have the BS code on them as well. Go to www.demonplates.com, thats where I got mine and I've never had any problem.
oh good, bought a front 1 the other day for 10.99 with BS number so will be fittin that this wkend. gonna carry my normal plate in boot just in case
