still no good for me wrong end of my rota
You will never get a date that is good for everyone. Sometimes you just have to go with what is best for most.
Maybe @DeviateDefiant can put up a google spreadsheet and we can each put on when we can or can't go. That may then be easier to visualise the preferred date(s).
I'm getting confused (but that doesn't take much nowadays).
IT`S CALLED OLD AGE i`M IN THAT LINE OF WORK AS WELLoh forgot to mention CJ in this club as well
It's a catch 22.
Got the money but not the time because of work.
Got the time but not the money because not at work.
Mine is the rotas we work we get all our weekends together at the start only thing is sometimes we only get a single day off which is preceeded and followed by 5 nights on. so it`s like working 10 nights with 1 off. unfortunately the dates so far don`t drop into the right part of the rota.
Don't want to get too involved with the dates Nels, I know we're not going to suit everyone so it's just a case of giving a few options and allowing people to speak up if they can't make it - then picking a best one to move forward with.
@MickyB it almost sounds like you're going to miss this one no matter what
No probs. Just throwing thoughts into the pot.
Any day is ok with me, maybe not Birmingham as its a long way. This all depends on me still having my accord.
What's the alternative @Duc de Pommfrit?
More Manchester way is good for me
I meant with the car I think the venue/location will be partly dictated by availability and who can offer the most suitable experience for us all.
Looking around just watching Accords for sale, problem is they are nearly all diesel!
Always the case mate, and if you're after a 2.4 that's even worse - Facelift 7th Generation has 13 times less than Pre-Facelift. 8th Generation less again.
What I won't be buying is a VW Polo, my wife complained nonstop in it last night, its bumpy/loud/smelly and very fast(?), I had to point out with numbers that it is much slower than the accord and only feels faster when the turbo kicks in plus the roar (not really) of the engine
Text from my wife telling me she has seen a nice Rav 4..........
I think like you say the speed is subjective, I can remember last time the mother was driving my Accord on the motorways - she was doing 110mph, I remarked she should probably slow down - she claimed she was doing 70 before looking down. Apparently it "felt like 70" in her car. Crappy suspension and loud diesel makes you notice speed a lot more
Toyota's are very reliable in general, just very dosile and neutered beasts.
Nov 1 and 2nd are good for me too
Are you sure she didn't say a Rav1oli
coming back on track , how many of us are interested in this meet sorry to be a kill joy guys keep other uncessesary chatter out of this Meet thread
Come on lads, lets have some commitment, I'm up for it
