Hi Everybody, I'm having issues with my HR-V 1st Generation VTEC (2000). This happened just before christmas. I had been running some errands here and there, as one does at that time of year. Went to start the car after a short shop and it wouldn't start - green key dash light flashing. Car was turning over fine but not sparking into life. Assumed this was something to do with either key chip being damaged or a fault with the imob/forgotten the coding. Tried removing and recharging the battery, tried the other key - same thing (neither key is a master/red key) Had an auto locksmith out today to reprogram but he said there was no issue with either key, ECU or the transponder. He reckons it has something to do with moisture getting to the electrics in the footwell (damp footwell on DS) causing corrosion leading to a break in communication. As he wasn't an auto electrician that was all the info i got. I'm planning to have a proper look around under there and unplug, check and plug back in some of the bits but other than that I have no idea. Can anybody help with some kind of direction. Seems there is very little info on this model. Thanks!
