    Hello there everybody.

I have a problem and this place was recommended to me. I hope you can help me with my small problem. I already know my yaw rate sensor (39960-SJD-A01) is faulty and needs replacing. The only problem being, does anybody know where this sensor is located? I was told under the seat and centre console but it's not there.

Can anybody help me with the location of this sensor?

    Many thanks.

I thought it measures lateral movement for the ESP

Yes. It's part of the ESP system.

Nobody seems to know where this bloody sensor is. It must be behind the dash I reckon. I'll take the car apart if I have to!

    Hi folks,
I've just been told that my Yaw Sensor needs replacing in my FR-V 2.2 diesel (Fault Code 25-1). The garage got a quote from Honda UK of over £700 just for the sensor. Does this seem right to you?
Anyway, I'm going to try a second hand one from ebay first for £40. My question is does anybody know the location of the sensor in a Honda FR-V 2.2 diesel?

    Many thanks!

Hello @iowgav, I have moved your post to an existing thread. £700 seems about right, see here. However defiantly try the £40 one first.

Thanks for the info...it really does make my mind boggle (and me quite mad) how they can charge that much for something the size of cigarette pack, and with technology that is less than that of your average games controller at £50.
Anyway, got the ebay one, going to try and fit it now! Fingers crossed it works.

Update for anyone who has to do this job:
On a RHD UK diesel, the sensor is located about six inches to the left of the footrest in the drivers footwell. You have to remove the centre console lower surround, pull back the carpet near the footrest and you'll see it in there. 10mm socket can get in fairly easily, just don't drop anything as I did! Easy replacement, just a bit awkward to get to.

Forgot to mention, the used £40 Yaw sensor from Ebay did the trick, rather than paying £700 for a new one from Honda. Not sure how long it will last but I'll quite happily keep using used instead of a new one!
