Thinking of buying a honda FR-V petrol I've seen some nice auto 1.8vtec just wondering how is the auto box reliability wise anything to watch out for

    THANK YOU

Auto box is pretty solid, no common issues I'm aware of. just check the fluid changes have been to schedule.

    watch out for:
    • Arch rust is quite common, also the rear tailgate where the chrome trim contacts the panel is prone to rusting on some facelift models I've seen due to not fitting totally flush and correct
    • Driver window switch breaks easily
    • Dashboard cup holders holds 3 drinks but often lose their wings so ultimately end up with 1
    • Rear calipers can be prone to binding

They are known for developing negative camber on the rear wheels, so worth checking for uneven tyre wear on the rears. It means they wear through the inner edge fairly fast.

Other than that and mentioned above, they are great!

They do suffer from camber issues. I installed some aftermarket upper adjustable camber arms so that the camber could be adjusted.

    Check the difference :-
