Let me preface this thread by saying that currently, all the information below was gleaned by internet research only. Please take it for what it's worth - just general information that you yourself can find.

I hope that we can verify at the minimum the D series weights, being that's what most of us have access to. When the "official" numbers have been decided on by this board, we will denote them as "official". Otherwise, take with a grain of salt.

First, here's a nice layout of all the information that I have to date:

    D series weights

General ~ 130 lbs lighter than B Series

    D15B7 Long block + harness 224 lbs

D16 Short block + benson sleeves 100 lbs

    D16A6 dry longblock 219 lbs

D15B VTEC drivetrain (no lower exhaust, alt only) 306 lbs

    D15 engine/trans 300 lbs

    B series weights

    Gereral B series engine/trans 401 lbs

    B16 shortblock + darton sleeves 104 lbs

    B18 engine/trans/axles 350 lbs

    B18C1 engine/trans/pallet 370 lbs

    B18C1 engine/trans/pallet 375 lbs

    B20 engine/no trans 318 lbs

B series manual trans 90 lbs

    F series weights

    F20A engine(DOHC)/auto trans/crate 600 lbs

    H series weights

    H22 shortblock + benson sleeves 131 lbs

H22 shortblock + benson sleeves - balance shafts 123 lbs

Thanks for going to the time and trouble to find all this information. I'm sure it'll be useful to alot of people on here. It kind of relates to the weight saving thread in the track section, so should help people get a better idea of power/weight ratios.

    Top info there

I was going to weigh my K20a2 swap to see what the weight difference was to the B18 hydro swap I've used this year.

I thought the K series would be close to a B series as a full swap as the K 6spd gearbox would be heavier than the B 5spd tho I'd imagine the K engine would be a little lighter.
