After a long day in the truck came back into the yard to be greeted with this.

After the initial shock asked the yardman what had happened to my car and it turns out that a cock pheasant on seeing its own reflection in my car decided to have a fight with itself through my paintwork.:Aghast::annoyed::Rant::hunter:

In all fairness they did once they realised what was happening but by then the damage was done.
Had a chat with the local gamekeeper today as to why it would do this,, and he explained that male pheasants can be very territorial especially during the breeding season, and when it saw its reflection in the car it just saw it as a rival, and went on the attack.

    That's fair enough.

With three black cars in the family, we will have to take extra care!

I wonder what the insurance companies would think if a claim went in stating that the car was damaged as a result of pheasant attack?
