ECU/Key Recoding

    Hi All.


    I'm swapping my D16Y7 for a D16Y8 and I know the P2P ECU thats coming with the Y8 has an immobiliser on it. I've been speaking to Honda and they are telling me that I need to get the ECU reprogrammed to match my current key (I'm not getting the key/barrels etc from the donor car). I can understand this but they are wanting

    Which Honda did you go to? Nottingham is messing me around and Derby just keep taking messages and never return my calls!

    Have been considering that, got a couple of numbers together to call and see what they say. Hopefully they'll know what they are talking about too, I've spoke to honda further afield but I can't justifify a long drive for it.

    hour and half?? ha ha its a10 min job man..best thing to do is get someone you no who works in a garage..if possible
