What are the symptoms of a non Honda fuel filter being fitted? I ask because since my service last month where a Bosch fuel filter was fitted my CR-V has developed a fault. Under medium to hard acceleration I have now had a sudden momentary power loss. This has happened twice, 2 weeks apart. It is quite dramatic and engine lurches big time! Then car carries on perfectly. No warning lights and ECU has been read and no faults found. I’m picking up a genuine filter tomorrow and getting it fitted in next few days. 2009 CTDI with 89000 miles on the clock. Any ideas?

Fuel filter replaced today with a genuine Honda item. 1st impressions are good as car seems to be much smoother and pulls throughout the rev range without any hesitations. Fingers crossed problem is sorted.
