1st Generation (2000-2006) vehicle added by naDiel, Wednesday 21st Dec, 2016
naDiel added a new Honda to the garage:
Check the vehicle's full information here.
One little sensor.... Such a palava!
That looks like it put up a good fight !
It did... But a 2 metre steel pipe extension talked sense into it!
glad you got it sorted mate hope she running ok now mate..
Yes and no... No check engine light but another issue arised today on the way to work...
Thank Honda for a full size spare!
that the good thing with stream full size spare...
She is still going strong guys
Not much happening really, only tinted all rear windows (boot one to be redone) added some roof rails and a roof box.
Got some stuff to put on still and some pouring polyurethane to redo my engine mounts sometime soon (when I get some time).
And in the meantime hit a magic mileage:
@naDiel good to see your stream still going strong mate...
@andy83 she is near the 90k mark now with the trip to Newquay and back but she is going strong
@naDiel mate mines at over 172,000 these streams are well built...
Considering that they are based on the Civic with a mix of DC5 parts I wouldn't expect any less! However mine has been abused in it's lifetime which shows with the exterior and interior, however mechanically the car is brilliant - just got the usual stuff to do to make sure it is bang on
I agree mine not been looked after before I got it..
Nothing to update you guys really. just put some new tyres, waiting for a bit of warmer weather and time to change oil + filter then do the engine mounts... Still! But she is driven daily and never misses a beat!
Another issue came out though and one I can't resolve without stripping the interior to get to the loom is that when going round turns the open doors light flicks on but the doors are closed (even locked!), so don't know what is the issue here. Saying that the doors are not flush with the body (just the front ones). So maybe there is a need to adjust the hinges?
So stream has been crashed into.
Nothing major but insurance still wrote it off.
So it will now rest forewer in Honda heaven.
New car will be added to the garage... Soon...
Sorry to read that @naDiel
I hope no one was hurt.
What are you replacing her with?
Funny part of it was that the car was parked in workplace car park and the persons car failed to hold the handbrake. So no one got hurt at all, but it was just inconvenient to come back from work to the car and see the number plate on the ground in front of the car. At the beginning I thought that someone done a hit and run, but after getting into the car I just about noticed a note under the wipers.
Basically the lady didn't even take the pics...
New car already purchased, will try to add pictures in a couple of minutes
I've seen that type of incident quite a few times - Handbrake not applied or failed and one car rolled into another in car parks.
Just something else to take into account when parking!
Where we park it is quite hard to avoid other cars around you to be fair... None the less I am glad that it happened because I have a perfect car... For family purposes anyway
Working on getting it added to the garage now
