bought my car off some bimbo 7-8 odd months ago, already taxed it since.

my tax has now expired and the stupid bitch hasnt sent the form, which she insisted on doing.

so now i can't tax my car...

and probably have to wait atleast 4 weeks untill i can :/

Its not her fault though is it?

Surely after 7 months of not having the v5 you would have sorted it before the tax ran out???

Surley you can just tax it online?

If you only have the new owners slip and tax it online, who's gonna know, you only have to quote your insurance code thing don't you?

you don't need an insurance code to tax it online....the database gets checked automatically...but i think you need the re-taxing certificate number...

can't you use the little slip from the V5 when you bought the car i know youve had it 7 months or so but you can normally use that to tax a car

If all else fails, sort it out at your local DVLA office and ensure that you take what documentation you have..
