I think I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to adjust the brightness using the plastic
control knob poking out of the instrument panel. I turn in either direction but nothing happens,
with the ignition on of course.
On the other hand, if I press the knob in, it alters the display.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

What brightness are you trying to adjust? I assume you've checked the manual.

    Thanks Keith for your reply.
Yes, I've looked in the manual, and I'm trying to reduce the instrument panel brightness, but
    also the clock brightness.
I suppose also that I'd like some control of the lighting "strength" of all the control switches etc
    festooned around the dashboard.
Driving at night I'd like to reduce the "glow" a tad.
    John.

You need your side lights on to alter the dash board instrument lights

Thanks cat-guy, you are absolutely correct!
I was right in the first place in that I was doing something wrong. I should have read the instructions properly.
