But I don't know the common signs of it going so...any help?

How do I know for sure it needs replacement? The only thing about the engine at the moment is there is a slight squealing noise sometimes, when idling and such, does sound like a belt but not sure what one..? halp?!

mileage is the defining factor on a timing belt

whats the mileage on the car and when was the belt last done?

mileage is high about 110K maybe just over but the last evidence og any belt being changed (cambelt) was at about 88k!!? that's not right?!

can't remember the intervals on the Civic tbh....usually about every 60k miles or something??? don't take that as gospel, but at 22k miles there's plenty of life in it yet

that won't be your cambelt squeeking, as meantioned, it will more than likely be your altinator or P/S belt, just spray some WD40 on the belts, usually sorts that out
