Nobody can resist a bargain, especially when its car related so stick any deals or promo codes you find in here.

I'll kick this one off with a Timing Light from Halfords today, its not on their website, looks like old stock so if you are passing a store have a look.

Gunson Timing Light G4133, metal body with advance ....On the shelf for £20.

Good choice mate you need to have the adjustable timing setting.I have the poverty spec gunson TL which is fixed. I need to mark the flywheel with my timing mark the years of surface rust has taken over.

Yeah I need to do the same, I gave it a go about an hour ago but struggled to see the mark easily so little dab of paint required.

I could see the mark when I advanced the control but not clear enough at the indicator mark, to be sure.

They still have the black plastic gun in the blister pack for full RRP about £45, this one is in the cardboard box as in the image above.

Yeah ..only went in for a nosey to look at Oil Filter tools after reading @SpeedyGee 's thread on the stuck filter and there the gun was for £20. Wasn't even marked down or labelled as a sale item so if you need one , go down and have a look.

I've got a couple of these bags and the larger one and couple of the tote style. Quite robust bags and a bargain for £15 (I don't have a garage/workshop so I prefer to keep my tools bagged so I can grab the bag I need for the job so I have them semi-organised in the shed; car, cycle, general diy, outdoor/heavy diy etc)

I got a set of these. Can't comment on they longevity as I haven't really used them heavily enough but safe to say not SnapOn quality lol, but useful that the ring and ratchet are the same size on each tool and you have superb leverage on this longer spanner.

Also the zero degree offset allows access to recessed bolt heads, for example on my 6th Generation top timing belt cover you need to remove the ps pump/belt for access to a small bolt (although you would be removing the pump to do the timing belt anyway its just an example of somewhere you can't get a socket ratchet into due to space constraints - i see a reviewer mentions they "are perfect for loosening the serpentine belt tensioner on an 8th generation Civic (r18)"

A bit pricey compared to the Halfords ones, plus import tax and delivery but my preferred spanner set as a low usage DIY'er.
