Here's a run down
Get the wheel off.
Undo the 2x 12mm that hold the brake lines on
The front's are not one complete unit like the rear so you have to seperate the shock from the fork bottom
so Undo the 14mm pictured here at the top of the fork
Then undo the 17mm and slide the bolt out that hold the fork to the hub.
Then slide the fork off the bottom of the shock (might take a bit of persuading with a hammer.
Then next unto the 3 - 14mm holding the topmount to the body
Then the whole shock should drop out.
What you will need is a set of spring compressors as the standard springs will have quite alot of tension and if you just undo the nut they will launch the shock off and you could loose a eye, finger, worse etc.
So compress the springs to remove the tension so you can remove this top 14mm nut safely
once the top mounts off remove the dust cover and remove these washers
re-fit to the new coilover shock
Then refit the topmount with the washer and 14mm
Then lastly tap the brackets that hold the brake lines with a hammer to loosen them off and re-fit to the new shock
Re-fit the car reversing the previous steps
Hope thats ok for you?
